The Halloween Lantern Ball: Free Cast Preview
Planning a Halloween murder mystery dinner for 8 to 12 guests? This free preview shows every character — and every mask — of The Halloween Lantern Ball, so you can start casting your friends before you buy.
Both downloads are the free edition. The .bobo file opens in BoboCreate Desktop.
The editable file imports in BoboCreate Free 0.3.19 or later. It uses one of Free's three design places, and its own artwork does not count toward your three uploaded images. Older versions of the app need BoboCreate activated to import it, so update BoboCreate first.
The preview is three pages: a cover, the twelve characters with a hook and their mask each, and a planning page.
It is spoiler-free and not playable on its own — the booklets, evidence and solution are in the full game.
What the free template includes
- All twelve characters, with their masks
- Which eight are always played, and which four join for 9 to 12 guests
- A planning page: time, the host’s role, acting and content
A masked ball in an old theater
Lanterns, a waltz, a parade on stage and a list to be read at midnight. Spooky, never gory: no fake weapons, no staged falls.
No costume needed
Masks are part of the story, but optional at your table: the name badges say who wore which mask. The game is designed for about an hour and three quarters with dinner, for adults and teens 14 and over.
