Free PDF + editable BoboCreate template

How to Design Your Own Blind Bag Collectible

Invent your own blind-bag collectible: color one of ours or design one from a blank shape, stick on faces and hats, then decorate a bag to hide it in. Everything prints in black and white.

Both downloads are the free edition. The .bobo file opens in BoboCreate Desktop.

The editable file imports in BoboCreate Free 0.3.19 or later. It uses one of Free's three design places, and its own artwork does not count toward your three uploaded images. Older versions of the app need BoboCreate activated to import it, so update BoboCreate first.

What the free template includes

Print at true size

Print on US Letter at Actual Size / 100% — never Fit to Page — and measure the 1-inch square before you cut. Bags: 24–32 lb paper or 65 lb light cardstock. Collectibles: plain 20–24 lb printer paper folds and tapes easily (best for squishies); cardstock makes stiffer flat charms.

Make it

Invent it. Plan your Pocket Pal on the design sheet (page 3): its shape, face, name and secret trick.

Draw, color, stick. Color both sides of a blank shape before you cut it out. Glue on faces and hats from pages 4–5, or draw your own.

Fold, bag, swap. Fold your collectible (page 2), then decorate a bag on page 6 — small bag 2.4 × 3.4 in, big bag 2.9 × 4 in. Every collectible is shown in this file. The surprise happens when one person packs and seals the bags and someone else opens them.

Safety

A grown-up should help with scissors and do any craft-knife cutting. Paper pieces, stuffing and seal stickers can be choking hazards for children under 3. Keep them away from babies and toddlers. Use a glue stick or tape — no hot glue for children.
