How to Customize Pet-Sitter Instructions
A sitter needs the details that change care—not a wall of text. This editable four-part handoff lets you keep emergency contacts, one profile per pet, household notes and visit records in a layout you can revise before every trip.
Both downloads are the free edition. The editable file opens in BoboCreate Desktop.
Use the free PDF when you want to write by hand. Open the `.bobo` version when names, routines or instructions are easier to type and reuse. Keep access codes and financial details off any page that may be left in view.
The template records instructions from you and your veterinarian. It does not replace veterinary advice or a clinic’s own authorization form.

Customize one pet at a time
Duplicate the profile page inside BoboCreate for each animal, then replace the example labels with the animal’s name, normal schedule and baseline behavior. Separate what is routine from what should trigger a call.
- Copy medication wording from the current label or veterinarian instructions.
- Name the food, amount and measuring tool rather than writing “usual amount.”
- Include where carriers, leashes and cleanup supplies are stored.
Keep the emergency page short
Put the primary owner, backup contact, regular clinic and emergency clinic in calling order. A sitter under pressure should not have to infer who comes first.
- Confirm phone numbers before leaving.
- Write a spending or care authorization only if your clinic accepts it.
- Store alarm and door codes through a private channel.
Print and hand it over
Print at Actual Size on US Letter paper. Walk through the pages with the sitter and leave the daily log with a pen in the same place as the supplies. Print a new copy when care instructions change.
Open the editable template in BoboCreate
- Download and install BoboCreate Desktop for Mac or Windows.
- Download the free `.bobo` file and save it somewhere you can find again.
- In BoboCreate, choose Open or Import and select the `.bobo` file.
- Edit the text, duplicate pet pages when needed, and preview every page.
- Export a PDF and print at 100% or Actual Size.
