How to Customize a First Sleepaway Camp Packing List

Camps send their own packing lists, and they differ. This free three-page starter opens in BoboCreate so you can type your camp’s list straight into the worksheet, make bag tags your child helps fill in, and print a last-evening checklist.

Both downloads are the free edition. The editable file opens in BoboCreate Desktop.

The editable file imports in BoboCreate Free 0.3.19 or later. It uses one of Free's three design places, and its own artwork does not count toward your three uploaded images. Older versions of the app need BoboCreate activated to import it, so update BoboCreate first.

Print the PDF if you would rather write by hand. Open the `.bobo` file when you want the worksheet to match your camp exactly — or to reuse it for a sibling or next summer.

The starter is a packing and preparation aid, not a camp form. Health, medication, permission and emergency details belong on the forms your camp provides.

Replace the common items with your camp’s list

The worksheet starts with items many camps ask for. Edit the rows to match your camp’s list word for word, delete what your camp does not want, and add anything it does. Keep the camp-list column so you can tick each item against the original.

Copy quantities from the camp’s list into “How many”.
Leave blank rows for last-minute additions.
Keep any item your camp bans off the sheet entirely.

Fill in tags that protect your child’s privacy

Type a first name and last initial, or the camp’s ID, into the tags before printing. Leave home address, phone number and school off anything others can see unless your camp asks for them.

Make the last-day checks your own

Change the camper checks into words your child uses, and add the drop-off and pick-up details your camp sends. Print on US Letter paper at Actual Size or 100%.

In BoboCreate, choose Open or Import and select the file.
Type in your camp’s list, the tag details and your drop-off times; preview all three pages.
Export a PDF and print at 100% or Actual Size.
