Free PDF + editable BoboCreate template
The Third Key: Free Cast Preview
Looking for a harder murder mystery for a group that has played before? This free preview shows every character of The Third Key, so you can start casting before you buy.
Both downloads are the free edition. The .bobo file opens in BoboCreate Desktop.
The editable file imports in BoboCreate Free 0.3.19 or later. It uses one of Free's three design places, and its own artwork does not count toward your three uploaded images. Older versions of the app need BoboCreate activated to import it, so update BoboCreate first.
The preview is three pages: a cover, the twelve characters with a hook and a dress idea each, and a planning page.
It is spoiler-free and not playable on its own — the booklets, evidence and solution are in the full game.
What the free template includes
- All twelve characters, with dress ideas
- Which eight are always played, and which four join for 9 to 12 players
- A planning page: time, the host’s role, acting and content
An observatory, a dinner and three keys
A private retreat in an old hilltop observatory, the Fellows’ Dinner, and a dome door that locks itself. Three secret lines run beside the murder — and one innocent guest lies.
Check it suits your group
The game is designed for about three hours with dinner, for adults and teens 14 and over who have played a murder mystery before. The death happens offstage and is never described.
